Blokes draft beers

At Blokes we have no less than 11 different beers on tap. From a fruity summery Leffe Ruby to the heavy tripel Karmeliet from Brouwerij Bosteels. This selection of beers has been carefully selected by us and is regularly adjusted so that you can drink a nice beer in every season. For extra variation we also have our seasonal tap from Brouwerij ’t IJ. This tap changes more often than our normal taps so that we can pour real seasonal beers. Below are a number of delicious beers that can be found on tap with us.

Brouwerij ’t ij - IJwit

A spicy Amsterdam white beer that is dangerously easy to drink. Slightly cloudy, a beautiful yellow colour and with a lovely, soft head. Just like any other white beer, the ijwit is also brewed with a portion of wheat malt, which is also where it gets its name (‘wit’ is the old Dutch word for wheat).

  • Aroma: Fresh and spicy, citrus and orange notes, floral and fruity, hints of coriander
  • Taste: A full and soft taste with a light creaminess, where sweet and subtly bitter notes complement each other nicely. The spicy undertone adds a refined complexity, while the fruity hints provide a refreshing, thirst-quenching finish.
  • Alcohol percentage: 6.5%
  • Perfect to combine with: Caesar salad, Papi’s chick, Apple gyoza’s.

Leffe Ruby

Leffe Ruby is the first abbey beer ever to be combined with red fruit. It is a light but tasty beer with a refreshing taste. The subtle hints of rosewood make it a perfectly balanced beer.

  • Aroma: Spicy (cloves), fruity (raspberries, strawberries, citrus), with hints of flowers and wood.
  • Taste: With its soft and fruity aroma, Leffe Ruby reveals a flavour palette characterised by notes of lightly spiced red fruit
  • Alcohol percentage: 5%
  • Perfect to combine with: Fish & Chips, Cod Burger or Brownie Creme Brulee

Franziskaner Weissbier

Franziskaner Weissbier is a traditional German wheat beer, originating from Munich, with a characteristic, cloudy golden colour and a creamy head. The Franziskaner-Brauerei was founded in 1363 and is therefore one of the oldest breweries in the world.

  • Aroma: Fruity notes of ripe banana, a light spiciness, subtle grainy scent due to the wheat base.
  • Taste: Full and soft, with a light creaminess, Sweet notes of banana and peach, fresh and balanced aftertaste.
  • Alcohol percentage: 5%
  • Perfect to combine with: Steak Tataki, Blokes Doormat, Blokes Burger.

Brouwerij Bosteels - Tripel karmeliet

Tripel Karmeliet is a Belgian abbey beer with a rich history and unique taste. Brewed with three types of grains: wheat, oats and barley. This beer has a light golden colour with a large head. Tripel Karmeliet is both refreshing and full of character, making it a popular choice among beer lovers.

  • Aroma: orange, lemon, cloves, pepper, vanilla, banana, peach, barley and oats.
  • Taste: Complex and harmonious, with notes of vanilla, citrus and a subtle spiciness, combined with a light sweetness and a full body.
  • Alcohol percentage: 8,4%
  • Perfect to combine with: crispy baked brie, chicken thigh satay, nut brownie.

Brouwerij Achouffe - La Chouffe

La Chouffe is a delicious Belgian Blond. It brings citrus notes in the mouth, followed by a refreshing spicy touch that gives the whole a great lightness. This golden beer with a light hop flavor was the very first to come out of the vats of the Achouffe brewery 40 years ago. Since then, its unique flavors have conquered the hearts of beer lovers all over the world!

  • Aroma: Fresh notes of orange and grapefruit, hints of peach and apple, subtle notes of coriander and spices, a light, caramel-like scent of Burgundian malt.
  • Taste: Citrus, peach, coriander, caramel.
  • Alcohol percentage: 8%
  • Perfect to combine with: Fried shrimp, Shortrib, Oreo Cheesecake.
